Driving Accessibility to Clubfoot Treatment: GCI and MiracleFeet Awarded Lever for Change Swift Grant to Advance RunFree2030

Global Clubfoot Initiative (GCI) and MiracleFeet are recipients of a Lever for Change Swift Grant for a project that will help the RunFree2030 strategy across the world.

“Through this project, we aim to address an urgent need by enhancing accessibility to proper clubfoot treatment – one of the three core objectives of RunFree2030, alongside quality care and integration,” said Robert Brown, GCI’s Fundraising and Campaigns Manager.

With the support of this grant, GCI, MiracleFeet, and our network of over 60 partners will work together to increase accessibility to clubfoot treatment through the following key activities:

  • Data analysis and publication: Analyse and publish global data on clubfoot to raise awareness of the condition as a global health priority, while also sharing best practices within our partners’ communities.

  • Collaborate: Consult our global network to identify key challenges and work together to create solutions that can be shared with all partners.

  • Translating resources: Translate materials and resources so our partners and stakeholders, no matter where they are, can fully participate in RunFree2030.

  • Programme expansion:  Establish new clubfoot services in countries where treatment is currently limited or unavailable, including those with large populations, where we can make the most significant impact.

This project will enhance accessibility of clubfoot services. Together with partners, we will build a future where no child bears the burden of untreated clubfoot.

RunFree2030 is built on a proven model that has already enabled 390,000 children to receive life-changing clubfoot treatment since 2007. By scaling our efforts, we are further committing to our vision of a world in which every child born with clubfoot can walk, play, and run free.
